Dalyan - Mudbaths - Turtle beach
Dalyan is a small and interesting town located on the south-western coast of Turkey. It is 25 km from the international airport Dalaman. Being in the centre of a broad delta whose natural beauty remains untainted Dalyan is established in an environmentally protected area. This is one of the few places of paradise, an area of natural beauty and interest.
Located inland on the banks of the Dalyan River the village of Dalyan is a lovely holiday spot unspoiled by mass tourism. The romance of the place is raised each morning as a fleet of fun-painted boats travel down the river taking holidaymakers to the glorious sandy beaches at the mouth of the river delta. Starting from Dalyan Harbour the voyage through bulrushes and pampas grass takes around 45 entertaining minutes. The whole of the Delta is a protected National Conservation area, and is home to over 100 kinds of birds along with no less than three varieties of turtle, including the Loggerhead.
In the afternoon you can take a walk around by the river and around village, or have a rest at your hotel's pool. Beaches are open for everyone. Also, you can go fishing on either side of the river. Dalyan is very famous for its fishing and you can eat fish at any restaurant while watching the sunset in the quiet and in nature.
